The Fattoria di Vibio, sensitive to art and beauty, has created an exhibition
space that brings together a rich programme of contemporary art shows. In
a unique natural setting, which acts as background to the unusual exhibition
space, it is possible to admire the works of art, giving an emotional connection
with the surrounding nature.

ROBERTO SPORTELLINI
Was born in Marsciano, in the Perugia province, in 1961, April 23rd.
He started his artistic experimentation in 1976, adopting the technique
of watercolours that he continued to use side by side with pencil drawing
for some more years.
His artistic training to become a professional was entirely private but
also shaped and influenced by the frequentation of the artistic milieu of
Perugia up to 1984 when he joined a group exhibition at the Ipso Art Gallery
in Perugia. During this same period for about a couple of years he attended
the studio of a Florentine painter, where he studied in depth the different
techniques of drawing, oil painting and mural painting. In 1985 he received
the " Bologna d'Oro International Award for Literature and Art"
and, the following year, the "International Award for Life" at
the Campidoglio Palace in Rome.
Later on he concentrated on some experimental techniques consisting in "installations"
where painting is combined with the assemblage of recycled materials and
he subsequently participated to the International Trade Fair of Contemporary
Art known as "Expo Arte", a section of Levante Fair in Bari, and
to the group exhibitions "Anteprima" in Corciano and "Ecovoce"
at the Palazzo della Penna in Perugia.
In 1997 he participated to the 2nd edition of the "Trevi Flash Art
Museum Award" and in 1998 to the 1st edition of the "International
Biennial of Contemporary Art" that took place in that same museum and
then to several more exhibitions held in private spaces or galleries. In
the following years he lived another long period of experimentation and
research that resulted in more than 300 pen-and-ink and pencil sketches
dedicated to the feminine figure. This latter experience became a fundamental
step in the following evolution of his art that eventually concentrated
on hyper realistic style pertaining on the everyday subjects of landscape
and human figure.
He presently lives and works in Perugia.
You can visit the exhibition from the 6 August, free entrance.
