Cooking classes

Guests who follow the cooking courses at the Fattoria di Vibio will soon acquire a familiarity with the ingredients they will be using, which will certainly bring a touch of creativity into their every day meals. As Gabriella says, "a touch of fantasy is always an excellent spice in life and will ensure that your recipes are a success".

OUR COOKING CLASSES

COOKERY COURSES
Cookery classes in three languages led by Gabriella Moscati and her staff.
Four dishes will be prepared: starters, first course (pasta based), second course (meat or fish based), dessert. Course participants will have hands-on involvement.
We will provide a host of information about the ingredients used, with particular emphasis on local specialities.
Participants will have the chance to try their own creations.
There is a choice of three menus:
Traditional Umbrian, Imaginative Umbrian and Last Minute.
What is included: group of instructors and kitchen staff, the ingredients for the dishes, light lunch, participants’ pack with notepad, pen and exclusive recipe book: "Entriamo in cucina" (Let’s cook!).
Course will be held in: Italian/English/French
Participants are encouraged to get actively involved.
Course location: Fattoria di Vibio
Course duration: 4 hours from 9.00 until 13.00
Course days: from Monday to Thursday
Number of participants: minimum 2, maximum 10
Equipment and clothing supplied by FV
2–4 participants: € 110,00 per person | 5–10 participants: € 90,00 per person.

COOKERY COURSES ABOUT HOME-MADE PASTA
Cookery classes in three languages led by Gabriella Moscati and her staff.
Participants are actively involved in making the most popular types of hand-made pasta:
ravioli, cappelletti, fettuccine, gnocchi and umbricelli.
We will provide a host of information about the ingredients used, with particular emphasis on local specialities.
Participants will have the chance to try their own creations.
What is included: group of instructors and kitchen staff, the ingredients for the dishes, food tasting and comments, participants’ pack with notepad, pen and exclusive recipe book: "Entriamo in cucina" (Let’s cook!).
Decorating and presenting dishes.
Course will be held in: Italian/English/French

Course duration: 4 hours from 9.00 until 13.00

DAY COOKERY COURSE – FULL IMMERSION
This course consists of theory and practice lessons in the morning and educational visits to Umbrian food producing businesses in the afternoons, providing an introduction to and understanding of Italian cuisine and its secrets. The end product will be a full Italian lunch, comprising the dishes that have been made during the course.
Day 1: Antipasti and vegetables. Lunch. Afternoon visit to an olive oil farm or a dairy farm.
Day 2: Primi (pasta) and pizzas. Lunch. Afternoon excursion to vineyards.
Day 3: Secondi (meats and fish) and desserts. Lunch. Afternoon visit to a pig farm raising the 'Cinta Senese' species.
The course includes full pension, the lessons and the excursions and the package costs € 750,00 per person for a minimum of 2 or 3 participants. (€ 600,00 for 4-6 persons).
Courses run from Mondays to Thursdays and must be booked in advance.
