From Gubbio to Gualdo Tadino are some of the towns famous for its artistic ceramics: considered an excellence made in Italy. Throughout Gubbio you may visit numerous artistic shops along Via dei Consoli and Via XX Settembre, streets which lead to Piazza Grande (or Pensile). If you are not here for the crossbow events (there is an exclusive Italian school along with the one in Sansepolcro) you may visit the Civic Museum in the Square: a collection of archaic majolica (XIV century), Arti crafts from the XIX century through the Lustro Rosso e Dorato of Mastro Giorgio (XVI century) and the historical pharmaceutical jars and original Duomi d'alambicco and red Terracotta.
Passing through San Marco you may reach Guardo Tadino, Torre dei Calzolari e Branca. Most of the factories are found outside the town's walls. In the centre you can find some shops before entering the Rocca Flea and the Civic Museum and relive the history of the Gualdese ceramics.
- THE WINE ROAD
Another very interesting itinerary is the famous "Strada del Vino": a path made of flavours, nature, history and traditions. A tour where you may taste good wines and learn more about the traditional food as well as the local anticraft.
- EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL ... A LONG PASSIONATE STORY
On the green Umbrian Hills, the Olive trees stand out, a tree which in many ways represents Umbria and its traditions. The DOP Extra Virgin Olive Oil is the best representative of the regional gastronomy which is made of very simple dishes and just by adding "raw" oil makes the difference.
